Curated and managed a net art portal featuring over 30 artists from Pacific Asia, Europe and North America. This web portal is partnership of new media curators and international artists addressing the definition of Net Art. Worked with Gallery 69 (Steven Tong and Sally Lee), in addition,
to writer, Christine D'Onfofrio to present a curated exhibition
of nearly 20 young emerging artists from the Lower Mainland
district. The show focused on the themes of language and digital

Course addressed science, art, and semiotics - how are art and
meaning created from digital delivery forms such as interactive
and audio CD ROMs. The course explored the implications of social
economies and organizations in relation to the dissemination
of new media products. Concepts of digital authoring from the
perspective of individuals to larger networked communities were
examined. Weblogs served as platforms for research, dialogue,
and interaction with other institutions and individuals . Projects
included a term paper (2000 + words) and an end of term exhibition
at Gallery 69 in Vancouver.

A and South Asian Visual Arts Collective (SAVAC)
Working in tandem with curators Rachel James, Sadira Rodrigues,
and Gu Xiong, was involved in reviewing, assessing, selecting
and mentoring emerging artists involved in the upcoming Transculturation
and Globalization New Media project and exhibition (scheduled
for 2003). I also aided in the transglobalization new media
artists’ workshop and conference (July 2002) held at the
SFU Wosk Center for Learning and at UBC. The co-curated project
will be exhibited nationally and will be toured as part of the
Asian Heritage Month activities in May 2003. The project is
sponsored by the Canada Arts Council Media Dissementation Project
department, Centre A Gallery (Vancouver) and SAVAC (Toronto). |

2000 Website and Kiosk, Canada Pavilion
Managed and directed content design of both the production of
a website and kiosk application for the Canadian Pavilion, Expo
2000, Hanover, Germany. The project specifically focused on
giving voice and media representation to First Nations groups
within Canada. Worked specifically with the Haida Nation to
develop an aboriginal response to illustrate their contemporary
and traditional ways of life, land and resource management.

The exhibition profiled the new artworks over 20 works by emerging

the common becomes the absurd, the anticipated turns into the
